About the artist:
Brian Paumier was born in Oxnard California, and graduated from Art Center College of Design Pasadena, California in 2000. His art trajectory paralleling a photographic and military career, in 2005 he was deployed to Iraq for 2 years. On his return he continued his education and attended the ICP-Bard College MFA program. He is best known for his poised and meticulous portraiture and travel imagery, his work embodies an oldworld formality with modern wit to make for the perfect integration of theatricality and a contemporary style. His images have appear in numerous publications and periodicals including The New Yorker, New York Times T Magazine, Travel & Leisure, Condé Nast Traveller, GQ, AFAR and Marie Claire.
Brian Paumier’s lens based art practice has shown and collected in numerous galleries, art fairs, public and private collections including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, The International Center of Photography, the 21c Museum Hotel, and Beth Rudin DeWoody collection. He recently was commissioned to create an installation for US Consulate Nuevo Laredo. Paumier’s newest venture at The CAM Studio Gallery and as a Board Member with the Carnegie Art Museum Cornerstones in Oxnard, CA fosters the development of emerging lens-based artists at critical moments of their careers. With Paumier’s programming, mentorship, exhibitions and access to workspace, serves as a catalyst for innovative creation within the local artistic community.
Ojai Institute and LUM ART ZINE are pleased to partner on a fundraiser to give support to artists and the nonprofits they care about.
Each photograph will be printed 8 x 10 inches in an open and unsigned edition. The photographs are $100 each and will only be available now through May 31, 2020.

Works will be printed and shipped in the beginning of June. Expedited printing and shipping may be possible with a rush fee. Sales tax and a flat shipping rate of $5 for within the United States are additional.
